Internships
PRI is accepting applications for internships for SF State students who have
career interests in the behavioral, social, and health
sciences.
Interns may interact with public agencies, faculty members,
and research participants in projects; therefore, a high level
of professionalism is required.
Internships may include a focus in:
* Research Methods
* Public Policy
* Health and Community issues
* Urban Planning and services
Training Opportunities may include:
* Survey research
* Program evaluations
* Data management
* Statistical analysis
* Report writing
* Project management
Qualifications:
* Current undergraduate or graduate SF State student
* Majors from any college or department may apply
* Successful completion of course in research methods
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Strong computer skills: Word and Excel
* Statistical experience and other specialized computer programs
* Library and internet research skills
Interns will be required to:
* Commit 10-12 hours per week for one semester (based on approved schedule)
* Complete orientation process
* Complete and submit time sheets
* Develop a plan that lists objectives and goals
* Monitor report progress
* Meet routinely with PRI supervisor
* Meet at least twice with SF State faculty advisor (once prior
to start of internship; once upon conclusion)
* Complete evaluation at end of internship

To apply for a PRI internship, submit a letter of interest and qualifications, a
resume, a letter of support from a faculty sponsor, and unofficial transcript to
PRI (2001 Junipero Serra Blvd, Suite 750, Daly City, CA 94014) or fax to 415-338

Applications will be accepted during the first three weeks of
each semester, and the first two weeks of June for the
summer.
Please note: There are currently no stipends available to
support interns at PRI.
