To conduct research and evaluation that promotes the public’s interest using the perspectives and tools of social and behavioral science.

Research Areas
Since its founding in 1984 to the present, PRI conducts research and evaluation projects in three main substantive areas:

Public Health: Research to support enhancements of health and eliminate health disparities

Public Service and Policies: Studies of quality and equity in the provision of public services, especially services provided by educational institutions, community-based organizations, and government agencies.

Public Data and Methods: Research to promote local community and public access to data and social and behavioral methodologies.
